Just developed an install wizard, as simple as it goes. You people may be able to learn from the source.

It's something I've been wanting to try for a while now and I finally got around to it, I had a bit of trouble with the creation of the connection file, I was doing,

    fopen("./connect.php", "a");

instead of

    fopen("../connect.php", "a");

Which was giving me a headache. Thankfully I got that solved and everything should work.
