I figured I'd be the first to reply here.
1. I've never heard of what I can only assume was you describing your JB ps3... "500gb CFW ps3ita 4.21"
2. Perhaps you should consider changing your firmware, I'm now on Rogero cfw cex 4.50 v1.01. and I feel it's the most reliable and user friendly firmware available.

* For my firmware, all I had to do was..
1. Install a pkg file on my JB "XX0001-ENSTONEXX_00-00000000000CCAPIv2.00.pkg"
2. enable the pkg
3. Create a plugin named vshFtpServer.sprx
4. Download Ghosts CCAPI v2
5. (optional) Download Ghosts [1.05] CCAPI v3 (No xp lobby capability, yet more user friendly)

Oops sorry I forgot to update that.. I'm on ps3ita 4.50 DEX using a .self. But thanks to you now I know what to install. Or can I not install that .pkg on 4.50 DEX?
