(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello, me and a few friends want to make a froum, but cant decide what to use. Which do you think is the best? Invisionfree ipbfree proboards etc. We would prefer if there was an arcade and or a store.

I like trains.
I ran a forum not so long ago. I used phpBB. It's cleaner than vBulletin, i find vBulletin to be very cluttered. You should check it out.

How do you use phpBB? It says you need to host it so wont that cost money?

my apologies, yes you need to host it on your own domain, but the use of the forum is free. domains are cheap, i paid £10 for mine for a year. It will look more professional if you have your own domain too.

phpbb.net gives you a free, very powerful forum with no ads. Or if it's only a very low-usage solution and you feel adventurous, you could run your own server easily through MAMP...

I've used phpbb and vb. VB wins. If you can save the cash up I'd just get a vb site. Don't build it on a free host site because usually you won't be able to transfer that once you get your own domain and host.

Hi guys



phpbb is the best free forum maker I would recommend if you don't wish to pay for forum software. vBulletin is the best paid forum maker I would recommend.
