(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey, I have an iPod Touch 4g, It's on iOS 5.1 or 5.0.1, I'm not sure. It is Jailbroken and its a tethered jailbreak. I have been trying to update to the latest firmware, but whenever I do, iTunes extracts the firmware then gives me an error message. That's not all, ever since I last booted it through RedSn0w, it will keep rebooting whenever I don't boot it in RedSn0w, I can't even turn it off, because it just keeps resetting, so now I can barely even use it with redsn0w, please help me, I will reward you.

This happened to me just two days ago. Download TinyUmbrella then go into the "Advanced" tab then un-tick "Set hosts to Cydia on exit" then click on "Apply Changes". It worked for me but I'm sure if it'll work for you

Hold down the power and home button while its plugged into your computer. It will go into itunes recovery mode. Once here restore your ipod. Make sure you have the latest version of itunes as well.
