Sony have launched new gaming headsets this week. The gaming headsets have been created around extensive user research. Playstation 3 users was giving a questionnaire to fill out about what features they would like on the "Ideal Playstation 3 headset".

This headset supports 7.1 3D surround sound, This will be a excellent feature for First Person Shooters. The headset is called the DR-GA500. Sony released a headset before but it has fewer features it was called DR-GA200.

7.1 surround sound?!
This are sick man, wow, I am actually so excited.
So I know there is 2.1 surround sound which I have and 5.1 surround sound headsets which I have, but 7.1, I do no understand how much better it is? Or how it can be better.
