I was able to find a store near me that Offered to Jailbreak my CECH-2001A PS3 for $80!
If It actually does not Brick my PS3, What Do I Need to Know?, Because I Haven't Owned a JailBreak in Years.

Storyline:
Back When Mw2 was Just getting infected with Challenge Lobbies, I ("thechiodos", Don't hold that to me.) Went through Lobbies asking for someone to help me Jailbreak my ps3, so I could "host awesome mod menus because I was a noob."
I eventually ran into a guy (Dawggystylez?) Who ended up directing me towards Team viewer, Sent me the updat.pup, Blackb0x.pkg, etc. Setup Filezilla on pc all for me and show'd me how to load Elitemossy v2? Maybe v1-v5 No Sure.

Anyways I had a 3.55 JailBreak until 4.00 Came out, My stepbro had just moved in from another state so not in school, ONE FAITHLESS Day, I came home to him playing Cod:mw2, I asked "How are you playing I couldn't connect without the update" I kid you not he looked at me like I was an Idoit and said " I just updated, I'm sure you can Re-jailbreak it." I Flipped my shit, and haven't really played since. Mind you this is years ago.

But today after getting in to .gsc scripting again I looked into craigslist andI found it the holy grail, I immediately dialed the number posted, and asked the fee, the man on the other end. "Oh its $80, Come by tomorrow *NAMES ADDRESS*, and You'll have it back the next day. So Tomorrow I am making a 30min drive to have my ps3 jailbroken.

Now mind you I had Blackb0x and filezilla, Multi-man just came out (never used it)
So if anyone can be kind enough to inform me of what I will need and what CEX or DEX is?

i like cex better and perfer rogero. you will need rogero 4.55 cex and use a 4.66 spoofer . i also use psn patch so i dont get banned , mutiman it a very useful tool i can guide you through everyhting

The guy who's downgrading and jailbreaking your console is a damn scammer. $80 its really to much. I mean I do it for $40..

Anyway,
to answer your question. It's all about you and the "dude" who downgrade and jailbreak your ps3. If you were still able to see blackb0x on ps3, but not able to enter it. That's mean you dont need to install it again, but it depends how the "dude" downgrade your ps3 if he do it the way with formatting the system then you will to re-install eveything back in ps3. Just install Multiman, it does everything you need.

Now about CEX and DEX, CEX is user firmware and DEX is developper firmware, people use it to do Real Time Memory Editing, but you don't need to be on DEX anymore to do that. Enstone (Thank's to him) Released something to be able to RTM on CEX.

You probably heard alot about REBUG. Well REBUG firmware let you switch from CEX to DEX and DEX to CEX without any kind problem.

There's no better firmware than another one, it's all about what you want to do.

Note: If you go online with CFW there's a risk of ban, use PSN Patch it will lower the chance of banning.
Note #2: If you use your ps3 to watch DVD/Blueray Movies, don't go on DEX you can't read dvd/blueray movies on that firmware.

Ok, First, This is a New playstation the old one broke, So I don't have Blackb0x anymore, and Two, If I pay $80 for a legit JB, Im not to worried as you said you charge $40?, What about shipping etc. Anyways They have it and I will receive a call when it's done. Also I signed a agreement that if something does go wrong they reimburse me and will replace my ps3. Besides, I almost paid $300 on eBay for a 3.55 Console, and then found their craigslist add. I'd rather pay $80 then $300.

I have considered it But. I hate opening stuff up out of fear, So I'll let someone who knows what their doing handle it, Besides Its only $80.

When I spoke with the Tech, He told me he will put Rogero on there with Multiman, etc. ("Anything you will need to run the system on a Jailbreak")
