> The internal clock functionality that accounts for leap years has been updated.

> The update prepares for the "You May Like" feature on the PlayStation Store which offers game recommendations while browsing, based on games that other users purchased.

> Enables incremental software patching allowing future system software updates to be applied without having to download and reinstall the whole firmware.

> Initially caused issues when upgrading the hard disk with this firmware on some systems. This was fixed with an updated version of the firmware with the same version number on August the 2nd and small patch has been made for those who already installed new firmware.
