(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok i have installed the newly released Waninkoko FW and here are my results:

PS3 INSTALLED ON: SLIM 120GB (CECH-2103A)
FIRMWARE INSTALLED ON: 3.55 GEOHOT
NEW FIRMWARE INSTALLATION: SUCCESS
NEW FEATURES: APP_HOME/PS3_GAME FOLDER
BACKUP MANAGER STATUS: WORKING
ANY SIGN OF BRICK: NONE

I think everyone who installs this firmware should just post saying:
1. type of ps3
2. what firmware they installed on
3. success or not

**UPDATE ~~ Ok the way i currently backing up games is like this:
~ Backup using MultiMAN because its fast
~ Load backed up games using Open manager
~ Open manager requires you to have a disk in the drive to load the game

i thought they said not to try it on the slims? lol

I been trying to install that new firmware but I dont know how to install the patch to the UPDAT.PUP... Think u can tell me how

It's a hit and miss with the slim. Sometimes you'll successfully install it and other times the unfortunate bricking comes.

i think people are bricking due to human error they havn't followed it properly, resulting in a brick

i got a phat 1 but i aint doing it intil i deffo no it works, btw whats so good about this new cfw, do back up games work straight away or something? no .pkg no modded eboots ect?

just go to this link at ps3-hacks and click the pre-patched pup thats the one i used. ----> You must login or register to view this content.

Yep, you can boot games straight off of MultiMAN.

yes i can confirm that the backup manager works i've tested 3 games up to now dante's inferno, borderlands, heavy rain, all work no prob. No need to modify eboots etc.
