People say to go back to OFW first as it reduces bricking risks, I can't say for sure, I always go back to OFW first just in case

Im on waninkoko v1 atm, will I keep my back uped games when updating to v2? idk if I should update, is it better than v1? And there are 2 files, one PUP and one .patch file, do I have to put them both in the UDPATE folder? Could anyone help me please?

Ok first-no it wont delete ur back ups, two-it is better, it has more stability and fixes many errors. three-just download the prepatched pup

Ok but Ive one bad problem atm, Im doing this for a friend an everytime I want to update, I get an Error, it says the data is corrupt (8002F2C5).
I also tried to install other CFW on my friends console but it doesnt work he´s using a phat ps3 80 GB on OFW 3.55.
