(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i know ps3 games are region free, but is there any homebrew that allows blu ray dvds from diffrent regions to play?? got import coming from japan from japan and its region code is A/1 usa/japan i want to be able to play my region 2 dvds, i now can copy and remove the region code but dont want all the hassle of it,any 1 no of any homebrew?

Didn't know that Blu-Rays aren't region free, that's strange considering that the games are region free.

this is the oldest trick in the book, i do this for some of my american dvds when they don't play in my stand alone blu ray player. i think a app to play region free dvds and blu rays would be awesome as so many american region locked blu rays don't get released in the uk and i would love to be able to watch them.

and for everyone else NO ps3 games are not region locked, however DLC is and sometimes when you play online with a american game you will only get american servers and serious LAG in my case because the servers are so far away, thats why i hate that most of the scene ps3 releases only dump american games, not that i play online much anyway but the problem is still annoying.

Your all going of subject, is there any home brew out to make the PS play any region, I no all the tricks about removing the ccs protection from DVDs, but doing this to all my DVDs would take years, I want to be able to just put the DVD straight in

there maybe a way, if you use xRegistryEditor075 and look in your Registry file with it, you will see the dvd region values etc, just need the right values to edit to for the right region the dvd you are going to play, this is just a guess btw
