Post: How to Fix Error 504 [FTP Error] [No File permissions] [Half brick]
11-22-2014, 09:10 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys a while ago I had an error that didn't let me do anything within my file system, this meant that I had no permissions set that allowed me to edit any file, If I were in Filezilla or even multiman or anything. No one had a fix for this, so I had to work it out and I found a solution.

Method

Step 1
You must Downgrade to 3.55 using a Downgrader depending on your Firmware, If you are on DEX then downgrade using the DEX Downgrade if CEX then CEX Downgrader.

DEX Downgrader:
You must login or register to view this content.

CEX Downgrader
I am unsure of this, you will have to research a CEX Downgrader

Step 2
Once you are on 3.55 make sure you are on DEX, if you are on CEX there are easy tutorials on getting on DEX. Then once your on DEX download an ITA DEX Firmware (4.50, 4.55 or 4.60) as long as it is an ITA Firmware.

4.50 ITA DEX:
You must login or register to view this content.

4.55 ITA DEX
You must login or register to view this content.

MFW 4.50 ITA DEX (My Firmware)
You must login or register to view this content.

Step 3
Download either one of those firmwares then upgrade your console to it if you are unsure on how there is a tut below.

Step 4
Download PS3ITA Manager

PS3ITA Manager
You must login or register to view this content.

Step 5
Put the .PKG file on the root of your USB and install it

Step 6
Get on ITA Manager and turn on the FTP in Network Tools then connect file zilla and you have permissions again Smile

NOTE:
When using FTP use ITA Manager, Multiman would be recommended for game copying or game installation after this brick.

How to Downgrade and Upgrade Firmwares

Step 1
Download 3.55 DEX Downgrader. ( You don't need to switch to CEX)

Step 2
Create a folder on your USB PS3>UPDATE>PS3UPDAT.PUP < Place 3.55 DEX Downgrader

Step 3
Put the USB in your PS3 and install it.

Step 4
After you are on 3.55 DEX, Download 4.50 ITA

Step 5
Do the same thing and install the ITA Firmware of your choice.

Hope this helped!!!
