The chances of getting banned are not raised for playing downloaded or free games i play them all day no ban.

It's public cheating that will raise your ban risk.
Also...do not run any home brew software whilst signed into psn ( e.g. Multiman )
I always sign into psn from the actual game ( e.g. Black ops 2,multiplayer,play online )
Juuuuust something to think about if you want to take extra precaution :-)
