The difference is that with the vol. 1 , you only can mod the games that they support now, they wont add any other. But i think some games are supported for US region.

The other version supports japan games only and gets updated

Ok, thank you, I think it is pointless to make a vol 1, they need to rethink that, I think I may get the other one since i will mainly need it for DQ XI.
