Hammy Yakuza Kiwami Save-Set EU

This Guide is WIP, I try to set it up in order for you that it looks like a legit playthrough.
A lot of time went in this save set, a lot of reloading and resaving so i hope this works.

Before we start I highly suggest that you start a regular game until you unlock the story trophy in chapter 1 called
"When You Don't Pay Your Debts..." (Succesfully collect the money)

After that Start with the save set or choose the trophy you need, but please be aware; there are some random Majima encounters i could not time with a save ("Kiryu-Chan" Get chased by Majima or "Majima on the Beat" Officer Majima for example) but these are early in the game.

All chapter trophies are timed with the last possible savepoint before the chapter ends

Save 2 - "Things Will Never Be the Same" Chapter 1 clear (im not sure if this works. Please confirm.. it should pop right after loading the Save im not sure myself)

Save 3 - "Turmoil In the Tojo Clan" Chapter 2 clear

Save 4 - "Funeral For the Old Ways" Chapter 3 clear (final encounter needs to be done)

Save 5 - "Take Back Those Ten Years!"

For which save, I could be wrong but I think I remember Climax battle progress being stored in the Profile save, which is numbered as 99. Resign that and copy it over, but maybe back up your regular profile first just in case.

For what you need to do, in the main menu. enter the Climax Battle menu. I don't have the EU version and am unsure which one(s) need to be done still to get the trophy using this save set, but you should have to do at least 1 Climax Battle still in order to pop the trophy. In a lot of the save sets I've seen it's the very last Climax Battle, which is a long one but not very difficult. I had some good tips for someone who was struggling with it, then beat it first try after seeing my advice, but of course I can't find that now. But it really is fairly simple, MUCH more simple than a lot of the Climax Battles leading up to it, just long.

Here's what what I can tell you: For a lot of people, the "Tiger Drop" move works wonders for them and makes the whole thing a joke. That has never worked so well for me because you need to get the timing just right and I only sometimes do and the rest of the time get punished. If you can pull it off though, it should speed things up.

For ME, know that in Dragon Mode and maybe a lot of the other modes too (probably not the one where you move around real slow, Brute or whatever it was called), a lot of the time when you dodge, you build up Heat. Which is fantastic. So just keep dodging around and your Heat will build up super fast. Plus, the dodge button (R1?) and triangle at the same time (think it's triangle at least) is a Heat move that does a decent amount of damage. So you can basically just dodge around, and hit that triangle button when you see it without having to stop your dodge-spam, so you're rarely in real danger. Occasionally you might accidentally pull off a Tiger Drop too if an enemy's charging at you and your timing is lucky, because I think it's the same combo. But the main purpose is just to make sure you're not taking hits, building up Heat and also using that Heat to beat up on folks who need beating. You heal a good bit between rounds, so you'll often start off each round at or near full health. And each round is just a "boss fight" from the main game, at Normal difficulty, except now you have a lot of skills you wouldn't have had then. So with the dodge-spam, heat-building, and auto-healing you should be fine. The only real issue, again, is that it's long so if you do make too many mistakes in one round you have to start over and might lose 20 minutes or so of progress.

Yup, Climax progress is stored in the profile save ("99" file) and as far as I know, this one can´t be re-regioned because it´s not supported in Save Wizard. But I´m not 100% sure about that. Anyway, I think there´s a profile for both the EU and US versions of Kiwami here on the board.

For the trophy itself, aeneax pretty much said it all. Only thing that I can add is that for me, the only way to get through the final climax battle (and it needs to be the final for the trophy, unluckily you can´t just do any battle), was to learn Tiger Drop. I know, it sucks to learn the timing and I fucked up big time at the beginning, but it´s so worth it. After getting this done, you will get through the battle in 2-3 tries because you make so much damage and you´re almost invincible when pulling off this attack frequently. Ah yes, and don´t forget to collect the additional health item in the underground Majima fight, might save your ass. Good luck, bro!

Unfortunately you're right, there's no known (reported) way to re-region the profile saves. Or a lot of other Yakuza saves for that matter. Thanks for providing the additional tips. I actually found the hardest battle in that final Climax Battle to be the one in the disco club with far too many enemies and 2 bosses, and the very last part where you say you needed Tiger Drop, it wasn't an issue for me at all (actually easier for me using the method I outlined than it was in my actual playthrough of the game where I wasn't using that method). I suppose everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. For me, timing is definitely a weakness.

I think all saves up to #20 can be re-regioned and anything beyond that, including the profile ("99") is not supported (for whatever reason). And yeah, everyone needs to learn about their own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to this game´s fighting. I´m 100% sure that Climax is do-able with just any fighting style it´s just about how good you are at the game. I wasn´t that good, to be honest, since this was my first Yakuza game. The Tiger Drop "technique" is basically just a surefire way to get it done, since the only challenge is to get the timing right. If you´re really good at some particular fighting style, stick to that and don´t bother with Tiger Drop.

We've had a number of reports of particular saves BELOW 20 also not being able to be re-regioned, or even recognized by Save Wizard, in Yakuza games including I believe this one.
