I would wait it out a bit because the last time consoles launched e.g. PS3 and Xbox 360, there were problems with the first set of consoles such as YLOD and RROD.

pre-ordered mine tuesday mourning. i was at gamestop before they opened.

I would like to get a PS4 on the day on launch, unfortunately, I will most likely not have the money to do so. Therefore, it will most likely be Christmas. If the release window remains the same (Holiday 2013) there shouldn't be too much of a wait.

Much as I'd love to get a new ps4 on day one..
a) I'm skint and bills and rent take priority
b) I will wait for the inevitable cheaper, better slim version
c) I wanna read some reviews first
d) I still got a shit load of stuff to play on the ps3

I wouldn't buy it right away, waiting 1-2 weeks is always good, because you wanna see the feedback.
