Eagle eyed Aussie gamers may have noticed this morning that GAME Australia accidentally leaked an e-flyer (that has now been removed) which has revealed the existence and details of a new map pack for Call Of Duty: Black Ops. Entitled Escalation, the pack will include five new maps, as was the case with previous add-on First Strike. According to the flyer, the map pack is due for release on Xbox 360 on May 3rd. Due to a three-year exclusivity deal between Microsoft and Activision, the Xbox 360 version is guaranteed to precede all other releases by at least a month, so we can expect PlayStation 3 and PC versions to follow further down the line.
Although there are no other details aside from names, the five new maps are; “Seize the Zoo”, “Take the Hotel”, “Secure the Convoy”, “Raid the Stockpile” and “Survive the Call of the Dead”. The last map is presumably another new Zombie level. After this leak, we expect to hear an official announcement from Activision relatively soon, which will hopefully include more information – such as pricing and in-depth descriptions of the maps included.
