if you dont go online for 24 hours your console wont be able to play games offline until you go back online which will then grant you access to offline gaming for another 24 hours....

to me this is no problem as I rarely game offline and if i am offline i Have a 3g wireless modem so I can play it if im at my shack or somewhere

Microsoft will take a trip to your house by using your IP to find your location and then fine you $150 for not obeying their commands. Next update you know after the Xbox One releases is that Microsoft sends out a mandatory contract for some bullshit.

They have already said it no longer needs to connect to the internet at all ever and you will still be able to play all your games and everything.
