I know this is a bit off-topic but its been on my mind for so long. How come they are able to make a jailbreak for IOS, a widely used operating system created by a billion-dollar company so easily yet we can't get a jailbreak on the newest PS3 Firmware for example?

I'm very curious to know? Is it due to legal reasons?

The TaiG jailbreak is virtually the same as Pangu, they both use a modified version of planetbeing's untether. The only certain differences are a few new exploits & the name of the utility/team, The single developer of the TaiG jailbreak Xiao Nan & the rest of the TaiG team have suggested possible working environments with the Pangu team later down the road

The TaiG tool comes with iOS 8.2 jailbreak compatibility, they just turned off the feature to jailbreak the firmware in the most recent public release due to the fact that Apple hasn't officially released iOS 8.2 and probably will not until after the holidays just because that is the schedule that they always use
