If you bought a 3.55, why don't you just set it up for jailbreaking so you don't request it from people?

no i sold my original ps3 running 3.55 a fair few years ago, ive got a bog standard thing now just to play games on, i no longer mod and was wondering if someone could mod my account?

It says you bought one again, thus meaning that you bought the 3.55 again. Did you buy an original PS3 on 4.76 or a downgraded one on 3.55?

no i modded along time ago, on my fat 80gb ps3 system i brought it off a friend and didnt really know what i was doing, ive brought a second hand 120gb system now and have no idea what its running

You can :p They're all over Craigslist and eBay. So, go to System Settings and try to find PlayStation 3 Information or something along those lines, it should be the second to last one. It should tell you what firmware you're on.
