Until they have a major failed new release, they will continue to produce cod series games.
I don't know if it was intentional, but they have created 2 versions of the series.
Each new release is highly anticipated and sales continue to outpace previous editions.

Has everyone forgotten how hated MW2 became on here?
They have the perfect formula, release the alternate version each year and people will buy it.

No company is going to purposely end this money maker.
