1. Get a hairdryer and put it on cold blow.
2. Unplug your PS3 from every cord and put it in front of you.
3. Now turn your PS3 so the vent on the back on PS3( the holes ) are facing you.
4. Now take the hairdryer and put the face of the hairdryer on top of the vents.
5. Now turn the hairdryer on and move it up and down along the vent for 5 mis.
6. Once you've done that you put your PS3 in front of a fan and leave it there for about 10 mins.
7. After you've done that, leave your PS3 alone for about 24 hrs.
8. Once you've waited, turn on your ps3 and there you go!

Ok so I put my hairdryer on Cold, then run it up and down the vents for 5 minutes?
I would think I would want it on Hot.

I think sending it to Sony is a better idea

I think spending $180 on something is not the best idea when you could easily fix it yourself.
Trying this right now. My PS3 has had YLoD for 1 month or so and I am finally wanting it back. If this works, then I'll +rep you for sure.

lol so much safer going to do this if it happens.
