Thats the same board I have, its a clone therefore its not "official" so it doesnt have a serial number.. Therefore PSUpdater doesnt work with clones, Thats why we have to install the driver and program the chip with HEX files ourselves, Havnt tried the PSUpdater files yet, Not sure if they were a HEX file or something different.. And if you find the right HEX it will work just like the PSJailbreak, any board thats a AT90USB162 can run just like it with the proper files.. mine also reads as a AT90USB162 DFU because its a clone.. All clones have to be programmed with a program called FLIP or anyother if desired, FLIP is the easiest one to work with as far as I know. So pretty much as soon as we find a working HEX file thats elligable to jailbreak 3.50 then we will be able to jailbreak even with clone dongles..

So those 10k people who bought clones because it was cheaper wont be disappointed any longer.

Keep checking back for updates, will repost this tutorial with working HEX files as soon as I can find one, Also if someone would test this method on 3.41? I believe PSGroove v1.1 worked on 3.41 right? Anyways the more help we get the faster we can figure this out.

I've done all steps to load the Hermes v4 hex (spoof+PSN) and got the verify pass state and all green lights on Flip, but I think that my dongle didn't really update, because when I go to System Information on the ps3, I see Firmware 3.41

My dongle is a PSJailbreak clone with the at90usb162 DFU chip, so, what happen?

This tut is based on 3.50, and its not old :mad:
unless you consider 1 month or so old...still works though, I jailbroke my 3.41 with this method, working on 3.5, need to find a working HEX though, I keep looking at PSGrooves downloads, they say their releasing one soon, they already released an open source code but they said there were some defects.. Waiting for an official release.

Whats not working? if its an issue when trying to boot with the jailbreak on 3.5 its because were still waiting for an official release of a HEX file from PSGroove that jailbreaks 3.5 without any downgrade or anything like that.. I believe its called PSGrade or something, its pretty much a copy of PSDowngrade in a HEX format thats compatable with AT90USB162 boards.
