(Use the AT90USBKEY file, not AT90USBKEY2 or any other file or this wont work..Ignore instructions too, thats an old tut for BlackCat boards.)

2.) When installed，go to installation folder, namely Atmel\Flip 3.4.2\usb\, find libusb0.dll and libusb0_x64.dll, copy them to folder Flip 3.4.2\bin


3.) Then plug PSjailbreak into USB port in PC, the red green light will light up.


4.) Meanwhile PC reminds you that unusable unkown device found.


5.) Ignore it, wait for a few seconds, new hardware AT90USB162 DFU will be found, pc asks you to provide driver,

6.) choose USB folder in Flip as the Install Path, for example Atmel\Flip 3.4.2\usb\

7.) then the installation begins.

8.) When the driver is installed, we can write on AT90USB162.

9.) Run Flip, go to Device -> Select..., and choose AT90USB162

10.) Then go to File -> Load HEX File...

11.) Choose the HEX file you want to write into, (Choose one of the files provided at the top of the post)


Attention: HEX must be put in the English path so that it can be read


12.) Then you can see HEX file parsed shown in the left bottom.

13.) Then go to Settings -> Communication ->USB, choose OPEN USB port.

14.) Then the chip is open and ready to be written.

15.) Check HEX File, make sure if it’s the right HEX that you want to write into.

16.) Choose RUN in the left bottom, then the chip is being written. It will be done in a few seconds. You will see Verify PASS in the left bottom when it’s finished.

Now the chip has been written. Turn off Flip and unplug the PS jailbreak dongle out of PC.

What firmware do you need to be running in order for these HEX files to work? I dont see any with 3_50 , only 3_41, 3_15 ect..

hi where can i purchase the dongle clone, is it cheaper or the same price?

ive installed my at90 key correctly but it wont let me open the usb port
what do i do?

You should check out files for the official PSJailbreak and PSDowngrade. I'm pretty sure that with the PSupdater you can download hex files. What exactly are you trying to do ,run service mode? Oh and I have a PSJailbreak looks exactly like the legit one but i cant get a serial off it and also it reads as AT90USB162 DFU do you know how to update this?

Thats the same board I have, its a clone therefore its not "official" so it doesnt have a serial number.. Therefore PSUpdater doesnt work with clones, Thats why we have to install the driver and program the chip with HEX files ourselves, Havnt tried the PSUpdater files yet, Not sure if they were a HEX file or something different.. And if you find the right HEX it will work just like the PSJailbreak, any board thats a AT90USB162 can run just like it with the proper files.. mine also reads as a AT90USB162 DFU because its a clone.. All clones have to be programmed with a program called FLIP or anyother if desired, FLIP is the easiest one to work with as far as I know. So pretty much as soon as we find a working HEX file thats elligable to jailbreak 3.50 then we will be able to jailbreak even with clone dongles..

So those 10k people who bought clones because it was cheaper wont be disappointed any longer.

Keep checking back for updates, will repost this tutorial with working HEX files as soon as I can find one, Also if someone would test this method on 3.41? I believe PSGroove v1.1 worked on 3.41 right? Anyways the more help we get the faster we can figure this out.

You can get the clone that this tutorial is based on by clicking You must login or register to view this content. - Thats were I bought mine, Buy the first one, Its the silver one for $20.99 USD - If you choose free shipping dont expect it for like two weeks, says 3-10 business days but I didnt receive it for like 15 days, Also dont try to contact their service email, I believe its a dead address.

P.S - All dongles that are under 99$ are clones, So pretty much if you dont go onto the official site (PSJailbreak.com) and look under distributers then their most likly clones..

I've got a 5*Gz key and its a clone of a jailbreak device but its easy to update i just plug into computer and then go to the update program and update :L

Different Clone, Different Process..

Possibly found a working HEX Modz if you will can you move this to prem so theres no leechers?
