(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello, NGU today i bring you a little tutorial on how to get back to Cex if you did the same mistake that i did and downgraded your ps3 While on DEX. After two weeks of pain, I finally got it working.


Requirements:

_ Backup of FLASHCEX.bin


_ Downgrader 3.55 DEX

Tutorial:



_ If you are in 4.xx Use the DownGrader 3.55 DEX to get to 3.55.


_ Extract the downgrader and copy the folder in your USB.


_Install Update via Storage Media.


_ Now Rename FLASHCEX.BIN to " CEX.EID0.NORBIN "



_ Open MultiMan and go to File Manager, locate /Dev_USB000 and Install " CEX.EID0.NORBIN "


_ Closed Multiman And Turn Your System OFF.


_ Turn The System On and Install Kmeaw 3.55


_ Install Any CFW you Want...


_ You are Done, Congratulation..

Did you follow all the steps exactly how i post it? did you install it in recovery mode?

what is the dump file for rename to CEX.EID0.NORBIN ?

dumprflash.bin or rflash.bin this files are 16mb

I need back to kmeaw 3.55 im now on dex 3.55

when i try to install it i double tap x on cex.eid0.norbin it says this operation is not allowed

any idea y ?

Make sure you use the CEX multiman and not the DEX

i used this one multiMAN ver 04.04.03 BASE (20120722).pkg

This tutorial is very reductive:

1- After you use the downgrade.pup install a dex\cfw (i like Rogero-3.55-DEX-DG-V2). I advice it.(For find Rogero cfw Google is your friend)

2-Flash (ever!! for more security) your backup of NAND\NOR in what you want (85, 87, 84 or your region if you change in CEX or in 82 if you change in DEX).Follow You must login or register to view this content. tutorial (if you noob for flash nand\nor memory) and after you are done , have 2 file "CEX-FLASH.EID0" with your original backup and "DEX-FLASH.EID0" with new ID region. Remember: all 2 file need extension (NO RENAME) .NORBIN or .NANDBIN.

3- Put in your root of usb key or external hdd the 2 file and use multiman for flash your memory. Go in /Dev_usb000 and Install "DEX.EID0.NORBIN" (press x button)

4-Turn off your Ps3, reset system and your are done.Now stay in 3.55 CEX. Now install any cex\3.55 what you want.(i advice 3.55 OFW and after cfw)

5-Enjoy you CEX Ps3!!!!!

If your tutorial works great, but Derek's thread is for Rebug LV2 kernel switching while this is the full DEX conversion like described by Choco. They are similar but different at the same time. Like I said, I don't know if your tut works or not, I hope it does.
