(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just curious what people's temperatures were on their PS3. I got in an argument with some guy the other day because I told him not to spread thermal paste as it creates air bubbles. Granted his temps were 72c/82c and his ps3 sounded like a jet engine, he was most likely on an older model PS3.

Model number? CECH-2501A (40nm RSX)
Idle temps? 48c/48c
In game? 55c/57c
Fresh thermal paste? Arctic silver 5, pea sized dot on the rsx and cpu, let the pressure of the heatsink spread it.
Fan speed? 36%

Actually it's set for 72c so the fan never goes in ludacris mode. Fan is set always run at 36%, rather quite too. I use webman for the dynamic fan controller. I never see temps higher than 55c/57c after gaming for several hours. Also keep in mind I'm on a CECH 2501 which uses a 40nm RSX as opposted to a 65nm like the 20xx's less voltage, less heat. I also bend the heatsink brackets to apply appropriate pressure to the heat spreaders.

I recommend web man at 80c your CPU n GPU will start to separate at 86c your guaranteed red blinking or YLOD. Now 48c n 47c are far below ofw temperatures if you were to rebuild your database per say, to rebuild trophies and did not rebuild threw web-man or any application that did not regulate your cpu and gpu temperatures, your fluctuation of your temperatures to that degree is beyond question seriously destructive to your motherboard. I see your running DREX 4.75.3 I cant imagine your fan speeds if you RTM. I've tried Rebug and always return to ITA. Please take the picture with a grain of salt. Anyone can run a PS3 for 8 hours change their temp n speeds withe web-man by holding select press up down left or right n screen shot how you like. You can not debate your 36% fan speed when you just need too wait until you even out as far as your temp limits are set. Wait a lil while as in a minute or so and fabricate the picture so thee above holds no weight, to anyone who has been running cfw for a while. Lets point out your picture is of a web-man temperature display as well your system is hardwired or your wlan would be visible.

If your ps3 overheats unplug the power cord from the back of the ps3 and hold down the power button and plug the power cord back while still holding down the power button and the fan will speed up to 100% for 20sec and it will cool down your ps3
