Hi guys,
this is my first tweak or hack for Max Payne 3
It is in a beta status. i'm updating this if a managed every line of it

NYM Hardcore useless because of one kill scenes
but it works perfect for story!

How to get this to work:
you need a Max Payne 3 Update
this was for Europe
"EP1004-BLES00942_00-MP3PATCH00000002-A0102-V0100-PE"
look @ the update from the site brewology for your region
now you have to options:
you have a cfw with a usb dongle and a spoof to go online later (to sync trophies)
or
you have two ps3:
3.55 CFW PS3 to modify the update then data transfer to 4.11 OFW PS3
FTP -> Replace file (Globalsettings.xml)
in hdd0/game/(your Max Payne 3 region code folder)/USRDIR/common/data

OK. Just a quick update.
I've just been playing the last 10-15 mins and can confirm it worked. I didn't follow the steps outlined by bearl above but it definitely worked for me.
Heres what I did :
1. CFW PS3 - Install 1.02 update package
2. CFW PS3 - Copy the GlobalSettings.xml to the game update folder (see bearls original post for exact path)
3. Initiate a Data Transfer from CFW -> OFW PS3
4. OFW PS3 - Launch MP3 and let it install game data.
5. Thats it - you should be good to go !!!
I'm currently performing a Data Transfer back from my OFW -> CFW as I want to check if the game install changed the GlobalSettings.xml file in any way.
Also, I was trying to go for one of the trophies - perform 10 kills in a row with bullet time but couldn't get it to pop. Now I don't think its anything to do with the hack, at least I hope not. Regardless, that can be gotten legit if it is the case
That's all for now.

I can confirm the the GlobalSettings.xml file is not modified by the installing the game data.
I compared the file transferred from my OFW PS3 (after installing MP3) to the GlobalSettings file modified by bearl and both are exactly the same. So following the steps outlined above should work.

I've tried a method similar to that one.. But I'll give this a try so I can tick it off the list lol...

Awesome mate, it's a piece of cake to understand. My CFW PS3 is not signed to the same psn id that my OFW is it a problem, or the data transfert works just fine ?

The easiest thing to do before you do the above is:
1. Downoad and install the 4.11 version spoofer (just google it)
2. CFW PS3 - Install the spoofer package
3. CFW PS3 - Run the spoofer and follow the on-screen instructions to activate it.
4. Initiate a Data Tansfer from your OFW -> CFW PS3. This will copy your active PSN accounts to your CFW PS3.
5. Now follow the steps outlined in my previous post.

i saw a trophy guide there is a chapter for it
maybe thats why doesnt working in a row?
