Today Sony released a new PS4 Firmware 3.55
There's a simple method to block this update and go online to see friends etc.



What do you need:
- Charles Proxy
- A PC or a Laptop connected to the Internet (PS4 and PC need to be in the same network)
- You must login or register to view this content.

1. Install Charles Proxy on your PC/Laptop
2. On PS4 you need to go to Settings -> Network -> Set up Internet Connection -> Custom
Choose everything you want but you need to modify Proxy Settings to the following:
Adress: Your PC IP-Adress (Where Charles Proxy is installed) And Port: 8888
3. Save the settings on PS4.
4. Start Charles Proxy and look at the left window.
5. Check for Systemsoftwareupdate on your PS4.
6. You should see this:
You must login or register to view this content.
7. Download my modified ps4-updatelist.xml and store it on your PC.
8. Right-Click on ps4-updatelist.xml in charles proxy and choose "Map local"
9. Map your downloaded ps4-updatelist.xml to Local Path:
You must login or register to view this content.
10. Click Ok.

Your done!

It doesn't work perfectly but you are able to block this update...

Tested and the update still pops up, it connected to psn one time but couldn't load anything just updated anyway fuck it, lol

Yup this post was just a waste of gaming time . I know there must be a way but these guys want to hint rather than tell us the right way.

there is a way to block the update idk why they dont just post it already
