Today Sony released a new PS4 Firmware 3.55
There's a simple method to block this update and go online to see friends etc.
What do you need:
- Charles Proxy
- A PC or a Laptop connected to the Internet (PS4 and PC need to be in the same network)
- You must login or register to view this content.
1. Install Charles Proxy on your PC/Laptop
2. On PS4 you need to go to Settings -> Network -> Set up Internet Connection -> Custom
Choose everything you want but you need to modify Proxy Settings to the following:
Adress: Your PC IP-Adress (Where Charles Proxy is installed) And Port: 8888
3. Save the settings on PS4.
4. Start Charles Proxy and look at the left window.
5. Check for Systemsoftwareupdate on your PS4.
6. You should see this:
You must login or register to view this content.
7. Download my modified ps4-updatelist.xml and store it on your PC.
8. Right-Click on ps4-updatelist.xml in charles proxy and choose "Map local"
9. Map your downloaded ps4-updatelist.xml to Local Path:
You must login or register to view this content.
10. Click Ok.
Your done!
It doesn't work perfectly but you are able to block this update...

Edits maybe this hash is for uk region? From what I remember uk and other regions use different files.

The Fact: this isnt really bypassing the update... if you watch the modified ps4-updatelist.xml file, you see that it is just display, which is obviously changed to 3.50... but if do the update ( step 5 ) you're on 3.55, just the display info ( for systeminformation ) changed... the 2 links (in the .xml) are still the 3.55 update, so you're on 3.55 with spoof display information

i call bs on this tbh im from the uk i used this and couldnt use anything online or even sign in the only way i could get online was to do the update

As many people said this, its not working, n if it is, its stopping you from doing many things which is pointless :/
