This save set can ONLY be used for the DLC. The CUSA for the stand-alone is different. If you wanted to use the info from this in the stand-alone you'd need to do the save transfer Square Enix set up to move character progression from DLC to stand-alone, if they still offer that, but they are essentially treated by your PS4 as two different "games".
For your second question, they took it out but you can get it back. See the post just above yours, including the post from me describing what exactly that does. You're basically tricking your PS4 into downloading an older patch.

Thanks. Reverting back to 1.26 seems like a pain in the butt. Maybe not worth it for a couple of trophies. I guess I'll never 100% this game.

Actually setting it up would probably take you about 15 to 20 minutes total, including the time it would take you during the download to redirect the patch when you're installing the game. It's not nearly as bad as it looks.

Can I use this if I trick my game into thinking it's a previous updated version? (Since you can't earn trophies in the main list anymore for Comrades.) Can someone confirm this for me and possibly show me how to trick my game into thinking it's an offline server to get the trophies in the main list?)

For how to do it, look at the post from Crounor that begins "Look here buddy". It has a link showing you how to do it, step by step". For me it's on the page before this one but it might show up differently on your screen.
And yes, that's exactly what the trick is for and the primary reason people use that trick for FF15 is precisely to get Comrades trophies. Follow that guide to go back to patch 1.26 and you should be able to get all of the Comrades DLC trophies AND the Comrades Update trophies, whatever the name of that list is. March 2017 Update? Something like that. Just be aware that since you'll be playing offline and so you'll be using the AI, the AI is really bad for the escort and defense missions so you'll need to craft some good gear.
