I made my own switch to test a few things with it but it won't work.

I have a pretty long cable (15 or more m)
Cut the orange cable (was on 2nd order)
My modem is my router (fritzbox), so I have router/modem....(s)......PS3
I got DSL (download 10-16000/up about 1000)
I did configurate the settings as posted in one of the pinned topics


And I dunno what else I can do to get it working.

As soon I flip it down it disconnects from the PSN, saying ethernet cable could not be found or sth like that.

Any help would be appreciated

Ok cool thanks for the info I appreciate it, but dunno how a network switch looks, can sb make a picture or show some on amazon or whatever, i can't imagine how it looks^^

thats what one type of network switch looks like

it just looks like a router

does your switch have to be in a certain location of the cable? or is it always in the middle?

also by lag time what game is that.

at the end is better.

and in mgo i get like 20-21, and in cod i get like 24-25.

so the key is the network switch seeing as it adds a substantial ammount of lag time

with my wireless setup (cain and abel) it adds 0 seconds as far im aware, ill keep tinkering though

So i can buy this?

I now get a 40 sec time without being cut by psn.
