Made this video a few days ago and wanted to share it with the community. I've tried to make this very noob friendly by making it step by step on how to install and downgrade the PS3 with an E3 flasher. This includes how to verify your dump/back ups and how to patch up dumps with No FSM required. I know my MAC address is displayed, I have many PS3, so I don't mind relinquishing one for the sake of educational purposes.

This video was done on 4.46OFW and YES if you're on 4.50 and 4.53....Follow the same steps but use the 4.50 files that I've provided.

i have the e3 flasher limited with no fsm dongle = e3 card reader i dont have it only the e3 flasher i have

now i have a phat ps3 cechk i checked with miniverchck and it showed on ps3 screen i am able to roll back to 2.16 current 2 days ago i was on 4.46 now psn got me updated to 4.50 will this tutorial work on mine please reply thanks

Yeah, it will work. I created a 2nd video specifically for 4.50 update. Stop watching the first video after you reflash your Ps3 with all switches down on e3 flasher. At this point start watching the second video. You will need to go onto Safe/Recovery mode to install Rogero 4.46CFW.

does that mean i need fsm dongle like e3 reader ?

Nope, you don't need a FSM. The Rogero flash auto patcher takes care of that.

boss confirm this i think i get it now

so after patching the bkpps3.bin on ps3 all switches down
power down ps3.

then transfer Rogero CEX-4.46 v1.01 from pc to flash drive.

power on the ps3 get into recovery mode by holding down the power button
update via flash from recover mode

Yo I did everything correctly but when its time to install the firmware I want it asks for 4.50 and there's no CFW atm what do I do?

Sorry I didn't answer you last question about the cable, it is the USB that connects my PS3.

YUP YUP YUP, you got that right buddy. Yes, it is the same process as the slimo =)

I made another video for 4.50. After you reflash your PS3, with the patched up NOR, with all switches down. You need to go into Recovery mode and install Rogero 4.46Cfw through there.
