Made this video a few days ago and wanted to share it with the community. I've tried to make this very noob friendly by making it step by step on how to install and downgrade the PS3 with an E3 flasher. This includes how to verify your dump/back ups and how to patch up dumps with No FSM required. I know my MAC address is displayed, I have many PS3, so I don't mind relinquishing one for the sake of educational purposes.

This video was done on 4.46OFW and YES if you're on 4.50 and 4.53....Follow the same steps but use the 4.50 files that I've provided.

From 4.46 OFW to Rogero 4.46 v1.01 CFW

patching the dump

4: open up the PS3 Flash Tool v1.00
drag one of the dump (bkpps3.bin) into PS3 Flash Tool v1.00
this will now create a log file in (bkpps3.bin) folder name bkpps3_ps3check.log
check the bkpps3_ps3check.log and verify all status is ( ok )
go back to ps3 flash tool v1.00 and press patch image select ( ok )
after the patch is completed you will se ( bkpps3_Nor_patched.bin ) in same folder of
ps3 flash tool v1.oo

drag ( bkpps3_Nor_patched.bin ) into the usb flash drive rename it to ( bkpps3.bin )
place micro-sdcard into TF-coverboard
set all switches down
Dwn Dwn Dwn Dwn Dwn Dwn
then press ( start )
blue lights will get lit up 1 by 1 be patient
after all blue lights alternates back and forward
turn off ps3 power.

disconnect the power wire from ps3



5: transfer Rogero CEX-4.46 v1.01 from pc to flash drive


6: plug in the power wire on ps3 wait 5-10 seconds
plug in the flash drive in the far right usb port
get into recovery mode
select ( system update ) then press ( x ) on next screen
press ( start ) + ( select ) together
wait its updating....................................... system restarts
rogero boots up

This replace the Rogero Auto Flasher patcher 4.46 to 4.50.

After you power off the PS3 when the Reflash is done. You don't need to disconnect the power buddy. Just go into recovery mode and continue with installing Rogero 4.46.

The only reason why I unplugged the power is because the Ps3 would not turn off when I got that screen with 4.50.

But, yeah buddy you got all the steps correct.

just general question
after its jailbroken by all steps is it necessary to go to 3.55 ?
my phat ps3 can roll back to 2.16 so please tell me what i shud do , currently its 4.50 after new psn update.

i wan to play all mames,arcade games retro, etc, and of course ps3 games does rogero support all them.

After you're done and you're on Rogero 4.46 CFW, you need to use Rogero 3.55 downgrader and QA flag your machine. Afterwards install Rogero 3.55 v3.7 CFW and then install any CFW you like.

Yup, Rogero is one of my personal favorite CFW. Rebug is really good too, but that is for advancer users. But yeah they support all your needs.

Okay im in system recovery installed rogero on my usb 4.46 and its still asking me for 4.50 ?
