As we all know, You must login or register to view this content., had recently moved to PlayStation 4 for a quite bit leaving the iOS Scene. It kept being vice-versa, moving from iOS to PS4, but now he comes in with a punch for the PS4 Scene. Recently, he had shared his RCE Exploit that could point out if our console is vulnerable (rce.party/ps4).

Today, we had caught some of his latest tweets conveying three of his PS4 Consoles. He specifically wrote with a black pencil pointing out each of his console's firmware.

  • 4.55 Jailbreak
  • 4.06 Jailbreak
  • 4.55 Stock

So, from him, we don't see too many jokes, but this might be serious as he was replying to another on Twitter. If this comes out to be 100% confirmed. We have background information that those latest firmware have granted access! Since the JB on the consoles aren't persistent, he can't actually hold them off to be on the network because Sony would receive the crash logs coming from the consoles. Checking mono framework MAY have a chance to stop that! Even though he just wrote letters and numbers on the console, we're not sure if this will be confirmed, but I definitely would say this is true since he knows what he is doing. I'll keep you posted whenever something rises up from the dead.

Here are the conversations he had with other users on Twitter:

Luca has now confirmed that PS4 PROs do work as well!

It is peculiar that he hasn't shown any definitive proof, but there is probably some reason behind that. There is also the possibility that he just doesn't care enough to prove it to the public since he clearly has no intentions of releasing it anyways. It appears he has accomplished everything he wanted to do on PS4, so unless Sony patches the exploits he uses on 4.55, he probably won't say anything more about it.

He shouldn't have opened his mouth in the first place. Sony knows he's on to something (they don't know exactly) but they'll try and figure what he uses and patch it.

If he keeps the details of the exploit private, he can talk about having it as much as he wants. Sony can't do anything about it unless somebody else happens to find the same exploit, which is pretty unlikely.

Furthermore from what 2much4u had to state. Yes, he fabricated things together to initiate all of these exploits which literally took him a couple days. Not that many people can do that, and released his ULE like 2much4u had stated once again.

If someone finds something out, he has two decisions. Release it, or keep it private. I understand if he kept it private, he put all his hard work into, and wouldn't want others to leech his work, you know?

He has the right to express himself and show his amazing work around the world. That's why he is considered as a really great hacker. People look up to this guy; especially security researchers.

Whether he releases it or not, all we know is that PS4 has been pwned. Nothing is impossible now, isnt it?

You talkin to me?
Well, some people here don't seem to realize that his tweet is for the sole purpose of bragging, which he deserves to do. This happens literally, all the time when it comes to exploits. For example, if someone finds a certain exploit in IDA Pro for a game that not just anyone can figure out, that person will let others know of his or her accomplishment.

I would know because I did the same. Of course, not anything on as large as a scale of PS4 security breaching, but just simple mods for games. He can do whatever he pleases, he deserves at least that much for doing something so rare.

Besides, if anyone actually releases it, Sony will be all on their ass, constantly. You really think that is a good idea?

Exploits? They'll just try to patch it fast. Priv. Keys? That's a different story. They'll be at your door steps in the matter of minutes.

He can legally modify his console any way he wants but if you release it to the public, then i think you run into issues with the law etc. But, you could always use an anonymous file sharing service lol
